FREQUENTLY ASKED RACEDAY QUESTIONS

Q:  Does my whole family need to register in order to do the Charity Walk with me?

A:  Yes.  Due to the USA Track & Field sanctioning and insurance, all on-course participants
need to be registered and wear a numbered bib.  If you raise $200 per participant, your registration is free!

 

Q:  As a parent, do I have to register to run with my child in the Fun Run?

A:  No, you may run along with your child of 12 and under if they need assistance finishing the Fun Run.

 

Q:  What age child can run in the Kids' Fun Run?

A:  Children 12 and under may participate in the Fun Run.

 

Q:  May I walk the whole 5K route?

A:  We ask that walkers use the Charity Walk route only as it limits the amount of time the Police keep the roads closed.

 

Q:  Are strollers or pets allowed in the 5K Run?

A:  Due to USA Track & Field sanctioning and insurance, strollers and pets are not allowed on the 5K route.

 

Q:  What is the race schedule?

A:  Registration and entertainment opens at 7:30 a.m.

     5K Run and Charity Walk starts at 9:00 a.m. with fun runners cheering them on.

     The Kids K Fun Run starts at 10:00 a.m.

     Awards and post-race entertainment (music & games, face painting, bounce houses and food) follow at 10:20 a.m.

 

Q:  Can I bring a donation?

A:  Please!  Credit Cards, Cash or checks made out to Jamie's Run are accepted at the registration tent.
     Jamie's Run Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity.

 

Q:  Are there awards after the race?

A:  Yes!  Overall male/female winner and fastest 3 male/female finishers in numerous age categories.
Fun run male/female winner and prizes for 4 age categories!

Q:  Is it fun for the whole family?

 

A:  Yes!  Before and after the Run, family entertainment will be on-going with live music, family fun, bounce houses, games, face painting, tattoos, vendor & charity booths and refreshments.

 

SEVERE WEATHER:  One thing we cannot control is severe weather.  Weather forecasts are tracked before the race for heavy rain, thunder  and lightning, high winds and snow. If there is a possibility of  threatening weather, information will be posted on the Jamie's Run web site so that runners can prepare for severe weather during the race.

 

On race day, JB Sports, LLC will decide if any changes will be made to the race.  The race  start time can change or the event can be  cancelled.  The Town may also cancel the event in the interest of public safety.  No Refunds will be given within 10 days of the event or if the event is cancelled due to severe weather or by the Town.Water, fog, snow, and high winds may cause the course to be shortened. Visible lightning will cause the race to be delayed until lightning stops.
